CLINICAL & CONSULTATIVE EXPERIENCE
I have undergraduate and graduate degrees in psychology.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor & Approved Clinical Supervisor with almost two decades of experience in helping people with diverse matters.  I began my career working with trauma survivors (i.e., abuse, domestic violence, etc.) and individuals with mental health disorders.  Over the years, I have expanded my practice to include working with people who have trouble with stress, depression, substance abuse problems and more (i.e., relationship problems or a break up & divorce; physical problems that are due to a mental condition; etc.).  About half of my current practice is spent with individuals and the other half is with couples.

Physicians have appreciated my clinical knowledge and ability to connect well with people.  I have provided my services (i.e., patient care and professional consultation) at their requests in more than 16 metro Atlanta hospitals and also at my office.  In addition, I have enjoyed providing instruction/education as well as clinical supervision & professional consultation to many dozens of clinicians within the fields of medicine, psychology, counseling, and social work.  My international Clinical Supervisor credential attests to my knowledge & training beyond state licensure for the purpose of helping associate-licensed and other fully-credentialed clinicians develop their clinical skills.    

I have lived in the Lake Claire/Little Five Points/Candler Park area of Atlanta since 2001 and always enjoy the diversity of people & lifestyles that can be found there on any given day.  I very much look forward to our work together when you are ready!

ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EXECUTIVE EXPERIENCE
In addition to clinical work, Sherry Simpson has over 15 years of experience developing and managing complex, interdisciplinary projects in healthcare.  Having served in Director and Consultant capacities, Sherry uses her clinical background, business management and quality improvement experience to assist clients with systems integration and project management.  She has been honored to serve on a variety of boards to recruit for clinical and technology positions as well as to maintain necessary, organizational credentialing.  Also, she is experienced in managing the design and development and delivery of educational content & clinical training for delivery in the Virtual World.  Her most recent achievements involve executive coaching and strategic planning at the international level.
